| Terminology |
Terminology and patterns both play a big part of grading and it is down to each individual student to learn their theory for the grading. It is very important you always learn your theory for every grade, and especially so when it becomes time for you to sit the 1st Degree exmaination as you are required to complete a written test.
For Under 13's this is multiple choice but for 13's and over you must write the answer with no help.
You must know what each move is for and the vital spot, whether you are demonstrating a punch, block, strike, thrust etc.
If you are not sure about anything please ask Miss Redmond or one of the assistant instructors.
